Infusion of $127M boosts bid by Colorado tech hub to be “Silicon Valley” of quantum

After months of collaboration among government agencies, academia, federal labs, quantum industry leaders, and economic development organizations, Elevate Quantum has been awarded a $40.5 million implementation grant by the US EDA to advance and commercialize quantum technology.

Elevate Quantum is one of twelve hubs across the country to receive this funding, establishing the Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming region as the Silicon Valley for quantum technology.

In addition to this grant, there are state commitments of $77 million from Colorado and $10 million from New Mexico, with the potential for up to $1 billion in future federal funding.

This is a major win for our region and its workforce.

This achievement was made possible by the visionary leadership of Elevate Quantum Board Chair Corban Tillemann-Dick and CEO Zachary Yerushalmi, along with the dedication of more than 116 consortium members who contributed their time, energy, and expertise to this strategic effort.

TechHubNow!’s collaboration with Elevate Quantum and the consortium has resulted in Colorado becoming the center of the global quantum economy.

As Governor Polis said, “We won! Yes!”
